Today, 34 Australians will get the news they have blood cancer. That's another 34 reasons to support the Leukaemia Foundation's work – providing practical and emotional support to people facing the challenge of blood cancer, as well as investing in vital research to find better treatments and cures. Across Australia, 60,000 people are going through this in right now - please sponsor me and help me reach my goal.
As my event suggests, Ride for Hope, I will be cycling from Bulahdelah to Stroud, approximately 42kms, on the 28th July @ 9am. The significance of the date is the day a special friend lost her beautiful mother, Bernadette Clare Tedds- (nee McGauley) to Acute Myeloid Leukaemia on the 28th July 2015, also my brother, Tony Townsend, has fought & survived the very same cancer. So this indeed, is a cause very close to my heart and hope all you kind & generous people out there will dig deep and donate for this ride of mine for this wonderful charity.
