Sponsor me and you’ll help me achieve so much!
In April 2018, I successfully trekked to Everest Base Camp in Nepal with a fantastic team of 11 Australians who pushed themselves physically to embark on an adventure of a lifetime whilst helping to make a difference to families all over Australia who are experiencing a blood cancer.
We are staggered at how our own small community of neighbours, friends and family, are so very generous and supportive of this cause. Our daughter, Jordan May, also did her own fundraising event to support my efforts and she helped to raise over $800.
Today, 34 Australians will get the news they have blood cancer. In 2013 that was the news we received, as a family we know what it's like. That's another 34 reasons to support the Leukaemia Foundation's work – providing practical and emotional support to people facing the challenge of blood cancer, as well as investing in vital research to find better treatments and cures. Across Australia, 60,000 people are going through this right now - please sponsor me and help me help others facing these challenges.
I am fortunate to have faced this Everest challenge as my own choice. Others face greater challenges every day. I know your support and encouragement through each step has been why I finally made it to Base Camp on the 22nd April. Thank you all.
Cheers, Al
