In February, my good mate Michael Bowen was unexpectedly diagnosed with leukaemia which naturally, sent shock waves through his nearest and dearest.
In true Bowey form, he got straight into action mode to maintain the outgoing and positive nature the people around him know and love him for. After shaving his head, he decided to take on the extreme challenge of walking the Kokoda Trail to raise much needed funds for the Leukaemia Foundation. Funds raised support essential research into prevention and treatment, and more importantly, support individuals and families impacted by this horrible disease. There was absolutely no way I was letting him do this without me. He has the biggest heart of almost anyone I know, and I couldn't think of anyone, or a cause more worthy of a donation.
All donations, regardless of the size make a huge difference, so please dig deep and donate where you can. In return, I promise you plenty of photos and stories of the trek after we smash it, where you can sit back and enjoy the knowledge that a lot of blood, sweat and tears were endured in repayment of your generousity!
Thanks in advance everyone!
Dave
