I'm taking part in the World's Greatest Shave for the Leukaemia Foundation on September 22nd!
I am usually emotional during September, especially on the 22nd. I am angry and confused why we had to bury my father on my 7th Birthday. The reason for this is that my dad, Ian Stuart Waddell lost his battle, with a particularly cheeky blood cancer called acute myeloid leukaemia (AML).
This year I have decided inside of self-indulging in licking my wounds feeling sorry for myself I am instead going to participate in the World’s Greatest Shave to fundraise for the next unsuspecting family to get hit by AML.
It’s taken me 19 years to finally google AML and understand what exactly it was that took my Dad away. Please sponsor me to give families facing blood cancer the emotional and practical support they need. You'll also fund vital research to help more people survive blood cancers, while improving their quality of life.
This year for my Birthday I am choosing love and to celebrate BEING ALIVE instead of moping around like I would every September. I am my father’s legacy. It would mean so much to me if you can please donate as much, or as little as you can to help kick cancers butt.

Much love xx
