My Message
On 17th June 2021, I was diagnosed with Leukaemia (ALL) and its been an absolutely wild ride up to this point.
I’ve had more injections than I ever felt I’d be comfortable with, I’ve been poisoned with gosh knows how many litres of chemotherapy, I’ve miraculously gained 6kg, still have a reasonable head of hair on me and I am still, after all of this, in remission and kicking this cancer fair in the butt with minimal side effects.
I’m almost at the halfway mark of my treatment, culminating with my bone marrow transplant in Brisbane in the coming month or so. And then that’s it. All things being equal, I can start 2022 on the road to being cured. No more chemo, no more invasive treatments, no more LPs, and hopefully a much brighter future filled with only the best and happiest memories.
I’m feeling incredibly grateful for every single person who has supported me these last few months, those that have followed along with my blog and celebrated and commiserated with the adventure so far. It’s not over yet, but you have all given me so much love, hope & determination to beat this for good. I’ve never felt more optimistic about what happens next.
I never thought I’d be told I had cancer, but wow, what an adventure it’s been so far.
Please donate to this incredible cause and join me & thousands of others in raising a lantern on October 16th.

On the evening of Saturday 16 October, I am taking part in Light the Night because blood cancer has touched my life.
Funds raised through this special event provide families facing blood cancer with the care needed to make it through every scary, uncertain moment that follows a diagnosis.
Donations also transform fear into hope in miraculous, life-changing ways by furthering the work of brilliant research scientists.
This research is saving lives right now as it continues to discover faster diagnoses and even better treatments for people with blood cancer.
Please help me reach my goal and sponsor me to Light the Night.
