I’m helping to beat blood cancer by taking part in the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave!
On the 31st October 2019, after being rushed to hospital because of highly concerning blood tests, our father was diagnosed with leukeamia (AML). It shook our whole family to the core and we remember sitting on a couch together that same day, shocked and unsure about what to do or say. There have now been over 2 years of mum and dad being far away for treatment (often we could not see them at all thanks to COVID), ups and downs, tears, challenges and the most amazing family, friends and medical personnel we never dreamed we would need to meet. Every day is a gift, The Leukeamia Foundation beyond words supportive, understanding and kind, and we finally know what we can do... We’re taking part in the World's Greatest Shave for the Leukaemia Foundation! Every time we raise $5000, another sister will commit to a full shave!
