As the sun sets on Friday, 30 September, I will be taking part in Light the Night so no one in the blood cancer community ever has to feel alone. We are forever grateful for the work that the leukaemia foundation does for blood cancer research and treatment. When blood cancer touches a life, it can feel like the beginning of a long, dark night. Treatment is often complex and urgent. Life-saving care can be far from home. Too many are left feeling overwhelmed and unsure – and isolated. Funds raised through this special event will ensure someone will be there for families through every scary, uncertain moment following a blood cancer diagnosis.
