Anne Sonnet (1964 to 2020)

On the evening of Friday 30 September, I am taking part in Light the Night again because blood cancer took away our beloved Anne from all of us in 2020. Funds raised through this special event will provide assistance to many other families who are facing a blood cancer battle with the care needed to make it through every scary, uncertain moment that follows a diagnosis. Donations also transform fear into hope in miraculous, life-changing ways by furthering the work of brilliant research scientists. This research is saving lives right now as it continues to discover faster diagnoses and even better treatments for people with blood cancer. I am again donating $1,000 and although we collectively raised the amazing amount of over $6,000 last year, I do not have the same expectation this year, although you may surprise me. I would appreciate any assistance, that you can give, to help me reach at least the goal of $3,000. I appreciate people have their own preferred charities and I do not want to burden you with a further charity, so if you wish to add a little extra to your normal donation, to your preferred charity with Anne in mind, then I fully understand. If you do wish to donate to the Leukaemia Foundation then any donations will be gratefully appreciated. If we do not meet the goal then I will add to my initial donation to make up any shortfall.
