I’m helping to beat blood cancer by taking part in the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave!
Hi! I am taking part in the Worlds Greatest Shave, to raise awareness for all types of cancer! This is a cause that hits close to my heart as cancer has showed its UGLY face quite a few times in my family and close friends. My Husband was diagnosed with Non- Hodgkins lymphoma when he was 17 and has been cancer free for 13 years. Sadly my Husbands father, my father in-law sadly lost his battle to cancer in 2016. My dear poppy was also diagnosed with no - Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2018 and is now 4 years in remission. A close friend was diagnosed with brain tumour and is still in the fight. Recently my Godfather was diagnosed with lymphoma (still waiting to find out what kind)and is about to start his battle. I am a hairdresser and have had quite a few clients come through that are either now in remission or just about to start their fight. Hearing all their stories and the bravery of them all really inspired me to want to do something BIG to raise not only funds but more awareness.
