I think I've annoyed enough people over the last decade with my scruffy appearance, in particular my unkempt beard. I'm finally going to do what I've thought about for a while and shave it off for a great cause. And what better cause than the Leukaemia Foundation? I mean, it is their idea I'm using to raise money after all, so it's only fair. The mission to shave the world from blood cancer is definitely a more than worthy cause. We all know people that are affected by cancer, and blood cancers are obviously one of the worst. Putting anything you can spare towards giving families facing blood cancer the emotional and practical support they need and also funding vital research to help more people survive blood cancers, while improving their quality of life will be greatly appreciated. Plus, you'll get to see how weird I look without a beard, win win! I've set a target of $3000 to shave the beard and I'll do it live on Facebook on (or around) 20 August (and will send pics to anyone that wants). If we hit that target I'm prepared to set another target to shave my whole head and look really funny, I've never looked good with a shaved head and I don't expect I will now I'm older. I'm thinking $6000 but I might make it lower (definitely won't be higher, $6k and I'll absolutely do it). Depending on how everything goes I'm prepared to consider further measures... But let's get to $3000 first, then we'll talk. So please consider donating, I know there are many worthy causes out there, but I'd really appreciate any and all donations.
