I’m helping to beat blood cancer by taking part in the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave!
Cancer sucks in all its forms, and has impacted some of my closest friends and family.
My first boss where I'm working now, passed away from leukaemia after a too short but valiant battle, and my wife works in haematology and sees first hand how much blood cancer wrecks peoples lives. Through her, I also know some of the exciting stuff that they are researching to tackle this disease - and how much donating to causes like this makes all of that stuff happen.
And now cancer is once again touching my family and whilst it's a different form, I would love to see every form of cancer eradicated, and Worlds Greatest Shave is something that's always been close to heart.
That's why I've decided to take part in the Leukaemia Foundation's World's Greatest Shave. This is something that I've wanted to do for awhile, but my hair has always been pretty short. Enter COVID and 12 months without a hairdresser in 2022 - and I find myself with the (slightly more grey) locks that I had many moons ago.... all ready to be chopped and packed and donated to this worthy cause on top of it all.
Every day, 53 Aussies are diagnosed with blood cancer, and 16 will lose their life.
We can't delay taking action together.
I'll be raising crucial funds that help give those facing blood cancer all the support and information they need, while driving breakthrough research projects discovering better ways to diagnose and treat blood cancer.
You have the power to help me make an extraordinary difference.
Big or small, every donation counts.
Will you help by sponsoring me?
