I’m helping to beat blood cancer by taking part in the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave!
Blood cancer is Australia's hidden cancer crisis. Every day, 53 Aussies are diagnosed with blood cancer, and 16 will lose their life.
I've decided to take part in the Leukaemia Foundation's World's Greatest Shave to raise crucial funds that help give those facing blood cancer all the support and information they need, while driving breakthrough research projects discovering better ways to diagnose and treat blood cancer.
I will also be donating my hair so that it can be turned into a wig for those battling cancer.
Noted, there are multiple ways that the money could be raised. I am shaving my head in solidarity and support. Reject the notion that women should have abundant locks flowing from their heads - a problematic expectation deeply rooted in capitalist ideology.
Show YOUR solidarity by donating. Big or small, every donation counts.
