I’m helping to beat blood cancer by taking part in the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave!
Cancer is everywhere but we seem to ignore it. We see the ads to donate and to spread awareness but do we really take our time and effort to help? This is why I want to shave my head. People are going to raise an eyebrow or ask questions as they see a girl with a shaved head and I can use this opportunity to spread awareness of this silent killer. There are no screenings available for this cancer, meaning there is no way to prevent it. That's why raising money to continue research is really important.
Out of all the World's Greatest Shaves I have witnessed, it has always been boys who have stepped forward. But I want to show that girls can also take such a big stand and make a difference. By donating to this cause you will not only help improve cancer research but also encourage girls to be visible and stand up. Thank you for making a difference.
