I’m helping to beat blood cancer by taking part in the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave!
We all have known someone who has received a cancer diagnosis. We all know someone who has lost their battle to their cancer diagnosis. We have all felt the pain of a cancer diagnosis in some way or another. Every day, 53 Australians are diagnosed with blood cancer, and 16 will lose their life. With no screening programs available and no means of prevention through lifestyle changes, blood cancer is Australia's hidden cancer crisis. We CANNOT delay taking action any longer. I'll be raising crucial funds that help give those facing blood cancer all the support and information they need, while driving breakthrough research projects discovering better ways to diagnose and treat blood cancer. Let's make an extraordinary difference. Big or small, every donation counts. Not only am I shaving my head, I will be donating my locks! World's Greatest Shave has partnered with Sustainable Salons to repurpose hair! The hair that is snipped can be turned into wigs for those with cancer, while shorter hair clippings will be transformed into compost and even floating booms to absorb oils spills at sea!
