I’m helping to beat blood cancer by taking part in the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave!
It's hard to find the right words to get people to donate their hard earned money to any cause, but let's try.
Cancer sucks.
At some point in everyones life they will know someone effected by this horrible disease. It doesn't discriminate, it doesn't care if you're young or old, healthy or unhealthy. It turns peoples lives and families upside down.
Most recently, my brother's beautiful girlfriends mum, Jaci has been diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome / Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
We all want a cure, we need a cure. And cures take research and money.
So, for all the numerous people in my life that have at one point been effected by cancer including my dad, grandparents, uncles, aunts, myself and Jaci, this is for you.
November 4th I'll be shaving my head and I'm hoping those who can will help me raise money for this necessary cause.
With no screening programs available and no means of prevention through lifestyle changes, blood cancer is Australia's hidden cancer crisis.
Every day, 53 Aussies are diagnosed with blood cancer, and 16 will lose their life.
We can't delay taking action together.
That's why I've decided to take part in the Leukaemia Foundation's World's Greatest Shave.
I'll be raising crucial funds that help give those facing blood cancer all the support and information they need, while driving breakthrough research projects discovering better ways to diagnose and treat blood cancer.
You have the power to help me make an extraordinary difference.
Big or small, every donation counts.
Will you help by sponsoring me?
