I’m helping to beat blood cancer by taking part in the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave!
On the 15th of September 16 Abbotsleigh Boarders will be cutting their hair in support of fundraising for the leukemia foundation. This is truly important for all of us girls as we are all incredibly passionate with this cause. Last year sadly one of our fellow boarders Charlotte Vincent was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukoma and sadly was unable to finish her last schooling/boarding year. This highlighted the importance to recognise how closely this can impact one of your closest friends within our boarding community. We are in hope of raising crucial funds that will give people facing blood cancer all the support and information they need, while driving breakthrough research projects discovering better ways to diagnose and treat blood cancer.
