I’m helping to beat blood cancer by taking part in the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave!
Hey everyone!
Did you know that blood cancer is like a hidden ninja in Australia? It's super sneaky because there aren't any secret agents or secret plans to stop it.
But guess what? We can be the superheroes who help!
I'm Iyla, and I've had my hair for as long as I can remember, and now I'm ready to change things up. Change can be a bit scary, but it's also super exciting! I want to do something amazing with my hair, so I've decided to join the Leukaemia Foundation's World's Greatest Shave.
Here's the deal: Every day, 53 Aussies find out they have blood cancer, and 16 of them have to be really brave superheroes because they lose their battle. We can't just stand by and watch, right?
So, I'm going to cut my hair and donate it whilst also raising money. Yep, you heard that right! And the money we raise will help people with blood cancer get all the support they need, and it'll help scientists find new ways to fight this ninja-like disease.
But here's the fun part: You can be a superhero too! Whether you have a little bit or a lot to give, every single donation makes a BIG difference.
So, will you be my superhero sidekick and sponsor me? Let's team up and make a real difference together!
Thanks a bunch,
Iyla, the 6-year-old superhero
