I’m helping to beat blood cancer by taking part in the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave!
The feeling of utter powerlessness that comes from a blood cancer diagnosis is paralysing, both for those who are suffering from the disease, and those who love and support them. Then comes the treatment. It is brutal; it is frightening; and it is lonely. From a feeling of powerlessness, I am doing the World's Greatest Shave. If I can raise money for cancer research and patient support services by doing such an insignificant thing as chopping off my hair, then I can take just a small amount of the power back for all those who don't have that luxury.
