I’m helping to beat blood cancer by taking part in the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave!
"You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think."
This little lass has decided to participate in the Worlds Greatest Shave!
After watching her Uncle do the Worlds Greatest Shave last year, Audrey was curious as to why he was doing it, who he was helping? So we talked about blood cancer. We talked about how every day 53 Australians are diagnosed with blood cancer, and 16 will lose their life. We spoke about how the money raised will help give those facing blood cancer all the support and information they need. How it will help drive breakthrough research projects that will discover better ways to diagnose and treat blood cancer.
"But why is he shaving all his hair?"
This is when we explained how chemotherapy can effect the body. We showed pictures of her Auntie when she was battling cancer and how her hair all fell out. With this, Audrey decided she too would brave the shave. She has spent the last 8 months growing her hair so it too can donated to make a wig for those who have lost their hair from chemo.
Audrey's hair is now long enough and she is about to participate in the shave!
Big or small, every donation counts. If you can show your support it really would mean the world to Audrey to see people getting behind her on this brave cause.
Will you help by sponsoring her?
