I'm Bonnie a 9 year old girl at Avoca Beach Public School and I'm going to shave my hair off to raise money for Leukaemia. When I asked my friends if I should do it most of them told me not to, but for some weird reason that just made me more motivated to do it.
I need to do the best I can to help keep people safe, happy and alive. I have such an amazing life and I am so lucky that I don't have to go through this horrible process. My friend Sienna is 10 years old and has Leukaemia. She is stuck in a hospital. No one knows how long she'll be in there for. Just imagine not seeing family or your pets everyday. Right now that's the worst thing I can think about. And it's not just like if you got grounded for a month or if you lost your favourite teddy bear, well it's kind of like that apart from it's that X infinity!! What I'm trying to say is we need more people to raise money to find a cure and help to stop blood cancer. Sienna didn't have a choice to loose all of her hair it was basically be bald or die. Sienna is one of the most beautiful and bravest people I know. Siennas motto is "why are all these people crying and I'm still smiling". Seeing Sienna smiling even though she is going through this inspired me to help her and other people to fight for their lives. Shaving my hair is the least I can do.
Now I would like to ask My family and friends to please sponsor me to help me reach my fundraising goal.
Blood cancer is Australia's hidden cancer crisis. There are 140,000 families facing blood cancer right now. And it takes the lives of 16 Australians every day.
Thank you all for your support
Love Bonnie xxx
