I am reaching out to you with a cause that is very close to my heart and has become a mission for me in the fight against blood cancer – The World's Greatest Shave.
I am committed to raising funds and awareness to support the Leukaemia Foundation's mission of zero lives to blood cancer by 2035!
Why blood cancer? Well, the answer lies in the personal journey I've recently embarked on. My father was diagnosed with blood cancer, and in October, he underwent a life-changing bone marrow transplant.
Witnessing his journey through the early stages of recovery has been both challenging and inspiring. However, what has truly left me in awe is the tremendous progress in research and the invaluable support provided by the Leukaemia Foundation during this critical time.
It's a stark contrast to the experience my family faced 22 years ago when we lost my Pa to Leukaemia. Back then, the landscape of blood cancer treatment and support was vastly different. The only reason we see such remarkable progress today is because of the generous donations that continue to fund vital research and extend unwavering support to those battling blood cancer and their families.
I have taken up the charge to make a difference, and I am joining in this crucial effort. Together, we aim to raise money to propel research forward and to ensure that no lives are lost to blood cancer by the year 2035.
