I’m helping to beat blood cancer by taking part in the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave!
Late last year, our young son Tom was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL). We had only just relocated to Sale in regional Victoria months earlier from the Upper Hunter Valley in NSW. The news of Tom's diagnosis was absolutely devastating to our little family. Cancer was something that happened to 'other' people. We were now those 'other' people! Here in the township of Sale, there are two young children fighting Leukaemia and receiving life-saving chemotherapy in Melbourne. The two-year plus chemotherapy journey ahead is long, exhausting and painful for everyone, particularly our son Tom. Please help the fight against this terrible disease and help support families in your local area by supporting my Greatest Shave fundraiser. Whoever donates the most has the option to shave my head on Thursday 28th March onsite in Sale - an important date as my son will be home for a week on a short break from intense chemotherapy at the Monash Children's Hospital. Any amount – big or small – will make a real, tangible difference. Donations are tax deductible. Thank you!
