I’m helping to beat blood cancer by taking part in the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave!
As you know, I've been growing my hair now for over 6 years. It was grown as homage to Marcus Bontempelli following the Bulldogs Premiership win in 2016.
This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the passing of my fun-loving and beloved sister-in-law, Mary Larkins (Catherine's sister), and the 25th anniversary of World's Greatest Shave. So I have decided to remove my luscious locks (in accordance with Kitty Flanagan's Rule 44 "Old men should not have long hair") to raise funds for much needed research and support for those people facing blood cancer.
My aim is to raise $10K, given I have a lot of hair, so please jump on board!
Any donations, small, medium or large are very welcome.
With no screening programs available and no means of prevention through lifestyle changes, blood cancer is Australia's hidden cancer crisis.
Every day, 53 Aussies are diagnosed with blood cancer, and 16 will lose their life.
We can't delay taking action together.
That's why I've decided to take part in the Leukaemia Foundation's World's Greatest Shave.
I'll be raising crucial funds that help give those facing blood cancer all the support and information they need, while driving breakthrough research projects discovering better ways to diagnose and treat blood cancer.
You have the power to help me make an extraordinary difference.
