I’m helping to beat blood cancer by taking part in the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave!
Cancer, no doubt has impacted many of you through the people you most love. Every day, 53 Aussies are diagnosed with blood cancer, and 16 will lose their life.
For me, my mum died of blood cancer in 2017 after an extended bout. Her cancer was silent but picked up because of a fall she had, which resulted in a fractured vertebra and a long recovery. Her bones had degenerated because of the blood cancer. She was able to be with us and manage the cancer for quite some time after her diagnosis because of her access to amazing medical personnel and treatment.
I want to be able to support the ongoing research projects discovering better ways to diagnose and treat blood cancer. That's why I've decided to take part in the Leukaemia Foundation's World's Greatest Shave.
I’ve spent 2 years growing these amazing locks, but I’ve succumbed to the jealous requests of my peers and will be shaving my head on Friday March 17th @ 12pm (AEST), with my hair donated to Sustainable Salons. This will be streamed live from CBRE’s Melbourne office Via CBRE's instagram page (https:/www.instagram.com/cbre_aunz/).
You have the power to help me make an extraordinary difference. Big or small, every donation counts.
Will you help by sponsoring me?
