Lily was diagnosed with a rare disorder Aplastic Anemia/ bone marrow failure in mid January. Aplastic Anemia is a serious condition when the bone marrow fails to produce blood cells. In Lily’s case all three cell types (platelet levels, neutrophils and red cells) are low and in some weeks extremely low.

Which means we are getting some sort of transfusion weekly either being platelets, red cells, antibiotics to help her along with many blood test. In Lily’s case she had to be put under for a central line in and further intense treatment along with medications.

This condition is so rare.  We are going to rasie awareness and funds by doing the Nepean River on  walk June 3rd to help other families going through the same situation we are in, to help raise money into research.
