On the 15th of September, 25 Abbotsleigh Boarders will be cutting their hair in support of fundraising for the Leukemia Foundation. This is truly important for all of us girls as we are all incredibly passionate about this cause. Sadly, last year one of our fellow boarders Charlotte Vincent was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukoma and unfortunately was unable to finish her last schooling/boarding year. This highlighted to us the importance to recognise how closely cancer can impact one of your closest friends within our boarding community. We hope to raise crucial funds that will give people facing blood cancer the support and information they need to win the fight against cancer, while also contributing to further drive breakthrough research projects to discover better ways to diagnose and treat blood cancer.
