11 years ago our grandmother was diagnosed with Leukaemia. It was a pretty crazy and tough time for our family to get through, but after many days spent in hospital getting looked after by some amazing doctors and nurses and getting years of treatment we were very lucky - she made it through and our beautiful Gran is still here with us today! These challenging times were made much easier on our Gran and our family due to the amazing support given to us by the Leukaemia Foundation. They provided support in anyway they could, including supplying accommodation for our grandparents as they were 400km from home. They helped so much in supporting not only our Gran but our Grandad too as he was there by her side every step of the way. This foundation doesn’t just help with research into finding cures - it also supports the families of those that are fighting against the terrible beast Leukaemia. This year, we have decided that a group of us will take part in the Worlds Greatest Shave to raise some well needed funds for a cause that is so close to our hearts. So as of April 23rd this year, we will have some serious rough looking melons going round - but it will all be totally worth it!
